Well Child Visits
Besides providing routine healthcare, well child visits are important because they are effective in helping to prevent and detect illnesses and problems before symptoms occur.
Parents: At your child's 12- and 17-year-old well child visits, remember to fill out the proper paperwork so you don’t lose access to your child's account.

Pediatrician and Family Interaction
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), an ongoing relationship between a family and their pediatrician is a key requirement of quality healthcare for children. For that reason, we recommend you establish a primary provider in our practice and see that individual for well visits as well as any chronic medical problems. We are committed to helping you schedule with your provider through flexible scheduling and easy communication.
An important time for you and your child
Well child visits focus on helping to maintain your child’s health by monitoring several important areas to help assure their health and to identify conditions that may not openly manifest themselves. Important aspects of these visits include:
An evaluation of your child’s growth and development
A discussion of safety, nutrition, fitness, behavior, school, peer interaction, day-to-day family life, etc.
Addressing attention or learning challenges
A complete physical examination
Recording your child’s height, weight, and other important information
Assessing body mass index for identifying and preventing obesity
Developmental screenings, if appropriate
Emotional health screening for problems such as depression or anxiety
Age-appropriate screening tests (including hearing, vision, hemoglobin, etc.)
Age appropriate immunizations
An opportunity to ask questions for both you and your child
